Bernardo Santos Carmo: Judy Garland With Frank Sinatra & Dean Martin (1962)

Source:Bernardo Santos Carmo- The Chairman of The Board Frank Sinatra & Judy Garland in 1962.
Source:The Daily Review

"Judy, Frank and Dean Martin in this memorable 1962 show."

From Bernardo Santos Carmo

You're going to have a harder time finding three better singers and really performers when you're talking about Judy, Frank and Dean, performing together on the same show, then Judy Garland, Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin. That is how big Judy Garland was and the amount of star power that she had that she could bring in those two great performers. The two top stars in the Rat Pack that she was friends with and worked with.

I emphasize performers here, because Judy, Frank and Dean, were more than singers. They were all great singers as well, but they were entertainers. Dean Martin, an accomplished singer, actor and comedian. Frank Sinatra, the Chairman of the Board, The Voice, perhaps the singer of all-time, as well as an accomplished actor and someone with the comedic wit and timing of a great comedian. Judy Garland, accomplished singer and actress, who also had a great comedic wit and timing. You put these three together and also throw in that they're friends and you have a great show.

All About Judy: Judy Garland- The Jack Paar Program (1962)

Source:All About Judy- Jack & Judy in 1962.
Source:The Daily Review

"This interview is a fan favorite. Judy was in great shape, relaxed and very funny. We can also see what a great storyteller she was when she talks about growing up in vaudeville, her days at MGM and her live concerts. She sings "Little Drops of Rain", "Paris Is a Lonely Town" and "Mewsette", from Gay Puree."

Before GetTV started playing reruns of The Judy Garland Show on every Monday night starting back in October, I had heard of her, but didn't know much about her.

I thought Judy Garland was an actress from the 1940s, or something and didn't have much if any idea who she was. That is the advantage of these great classic TV and movie networks is that it gives people such as myself who didn't start watching TV at all until the early 1980s a chance to see what entertainment, Hollywood and what life was like before I was born.

Today the Millennial Generation, who are all about now and everything before that is old school to them, which is bad to them doesn't seem to grasp. But because GetTV plays The Judy Garland Show I now have a good idea who she was.

Judy Garland, was a hell of an actress, singer and comedian. She was good and funny enough to perform with, well Jack Paar. But Johnny Carson, the Rat Pack with Frank Sinatra and many other great performers.

Judy was adorable, she was very lively, very funny and loved doing her job. She was probably a singer first, but she was a good actress and she was very funny and could make people laugh and also had one of the best and cutest laughs you'll ever see. As you see in this video on Jack Paar.

The whole thing about these studio executives who didn't see her as attractive, I don't get that at all. Was she Sophia Loren or Marilyn Monroe, or Lana Turner? Of course not, but most women and even entertainers are not. She was very cute, pretty, and very good at what she was. Which is one of the best and most versatile entertainers of all-time.

Daily Fit: Lynda Carter- 2003 A&E Biography

Source:Daily Fit- Wonder Woman Lynda Carter.
Source:The Daily Review

I don't think there's a better woman and actress who could have played Wonder Woman. That show is literally about a goddess who comes to America from Paradise Island and plays superhero. At first you might thinks she's way too damn cute to kick ass. But I think that made her even more perfect for that role, because it gave her a great cover. With bad guys lets say, who don't believe she can handle them even though she saved the day (so to speak) all the time. Here's a woman who is a former Miss America. That is how physically attractive she is as a tall strong athletic woman, who is also hot and really adorable. Even in her nerdy glasses as U.S. Army Lieutenant Diana Prince, who is an intelligence officer. You could still tell she was a goddess who perhaps just needed to wear eye contacts.

Wonder Woman, was an entertaining watchable show. But so was Dukes of Hazzard, but the difference being the The Dukes was a great show even without Catherine Bach. But Catherine just made that show even better. Lynda Carter, just didn't make Wonder Woman, but she made that show as well. She brought that character to real-life and brought her to millions of Americans homes. People watched Wonder Woman to watch Wonder Woman, who was Lynda Carter. And it had other good people on it like Lyle Waggoner, but women watched that show, because they wanted to see a strong gorgeous woman who kicked ass. And perhaps the same thing with guys, but they were simply interested in her. I see Wonder Woman as a show where a great looking woman who is also entertaining can bring people into it. Even if it doesn't have much to offer outside of the lead.

And I think Lynda Carter knew all of this and perhaps got tired and bored with Wonder Woman and was ready to move on and not disappointed when CBS cut Wonder Woman in 1979. Because that show really was her, without much else other than her. With weak plots and cheesy writing that let Americans who were born in the 1960s and 1970s what it was like to live in the 1940s and 50s as far as how Americans talked to each other. With the original show taking place during World War II like the cartoon. But Wonder Woman made Lynda a star and gave her other opportunities and chances to meet other people and expand her career. So in this sense Wonder Woman even though it was a mediocre show, it gave her other opportunities and chances to do good credible things. Where she wasn't purely seen as a goddess.

ABC: 20/20-Connie Chung: Interviewing Barbara Eden in 2003

Source:ABC News- Connie Chung, interviewing Hollywood Babydoll Barbara Eden.
Source:The Daily Review

" Barbara Eden 20/20. This aired in 2003."

From ABC: 2020

I swear that Barbara Eden, Kim Novak, Raquel Welch and Jaclyn Smith, must all have the same workout plan and use the same facial cream, or something. I mean you look at Barbara when she was 50, 60, 70 and now which practically impossible for me to believe and harder to believe that she turned 60 and 70 and now 80 years old, she looks the same and not day older in any of those photos. It's as if the Barbie doll was invented for Barbara Eden.

I Dream of Jeannie, is of course what Barbara Eden is known for, but she's more than that. She's an ageless goddess and perhaps the cutest entertainer from her generation who even at 81 still comes off as a baby-faced adorable Hollywood Goddess. An 81 year old woman who is still gorgeous and baby-faced adorable.

When Barbara was in her early and mid thirties in the 1960s on I Dream of Jeannie, she had a tendency to come as a kid and even little girl. Marilyn Monroe and Jayne Mansfield, had similar issues when they were working. But she made that work for her, because she's so adorably funny as well and sexy and gorgeous.

I think the Tony Nelson character on that show must at times must of felt that Jeannie was like having a daughter and big kid in the house even though Larry Hagman and Barbara Eden are only three years apart in real-life. On the show Jeannie is a couple thousand years older than U.S. Air Force Major Tony Nelson. But of course you wouldn't know that by looking at Larry Hagman and Barbara Eden on that show. Because in years she could probably pass as Hagman's daughter.

Despite the realness and realism of I Dream of Jeannie, with a Persian Jeannie with blonde hair and light complexion, who is a couple thousand years old and speaks perfect English and lives in bottle, (ha, ha) we are not talking about a great show. The show is simply not believable and looks like a sci-fi comedy, or Star Trek comes to Planet Earth.

But Jeannie, because she was freakin adorable and funny and was such an expert at getting into trouble and so overprotective of her Master Major Tony Nelson and with how funny Larry Hagman and Bill Daily were on that show, it worked.

And because of the success of that show it probably meant that Barbara Eden (or Baby Barbie as I like to call her) would never have to worry about working again. And its a show that has been in syndication for what what 45-50 years now. And she's made a great career for herself.

Lifetime: Lynda Carter 2000 Intimate Portrait

Source:Lifetime- Wonder Woman Lynda Carter.
Source:The Daily Review

"A biography on Lynda Carter. Narrated by Mary Hart."

From Lifetime

I'm sure Lynda Carter is more than Wonder Woman and has more credits to her life than that. I think the problem that she and its not a weakness on her part, but similar to Catherine Bach as Daisy Duke on The Dukes of Hazzard, she played Wonder Woman so well and doesn't have another role that comes close to the popularity of Wonder Woman, that she's not that well-known for anything else. Except for perhaps her most die hard fans. Which is a shame, because she might be the best looking and sexiest women on TV from the 1970s. A gloomy decade in a lot of ways, but her and that show gave millions of Americans a lot to be happy about and look forward to for about five years. In the late 1970s and early 1980s.

Lynda Carter, is one of the top Hollywood Goddess's of all-time. I'm not sure a better looking women has ever been on TV, to be frank about this. A gorgeous and yet baby-faced adorable brunette, 5'9, 130 pounds or so, great body. Built like a great tennis player. You can see why the creators of Wonder Woman wanted her so much and wanted her in that outfit so much. She truly looked like a goddess  and played one on TV as well. I don't know of another women at least from that era, who cold have played that role better, or as well. When you're talking about her physical presence and the fact that she's a hell of an actress as well. She made a guest appearance on the hit police detective show Starsky and Hutch in like 1975 or 76 , before Wonder Woman and you could see then that she was going to be a star.

I'm surprised that Wonder Woman didn't lead to other great roles for her on TV and in the movies. I could easily have seen her on a hit cop show in the 1980s where she plays a detective or detective sergeant, kicking ass and saving the day. (So to speak) I think she would have been great in roles like that on TV, or doing action/comedy movies like that. And perhaps even having another hit show. Similar to Angie Dickinson with Police Woman in the mid and late 1970s. But she has made a very good career for herself doing other movies, as well as putting together a pretty successful singing career. But even being typecast as this Wonder Goddess from Paradise Island, (of all places) I believe even with that she should have had other opportunities like that in the 1980s and 1990s. And had more great credits on her resume.

Classic Film Glamour: Hollywood Goddess Faye Dunaway

Source:Classic Film Glamour- Hollywood Goddess Faye Dunaway.

Source:The Daily Review

"My Faye Dunaway video from my old channel OldHollywoodVideos08...

Background Information (From Wikipedia)

Faye Dunaway (born January 14, 1941) is an American actress.

Dunaway won an Academy Award for Best Actress for her performance in Network (1976) after receiving previous nominations for the critically acclaimed films Bonnie and Clyde (1967) and Chinatown (1974). She has starred in a variety of films, including The Thomas Crown Affair (both the 1968 and 1999 versions), The Towering Inferno (1974), Three Days of the Condor (1975), and Mommie Dearest (1981)."

I guess when I think of great dramatic comedic actress’s and what I mean by that is actress’s who combine both dramatic and comedic abilities in the same role, not actress’s who are great at both comedy and drama, but women who do both in the same roles, I think of Faye Dunaway, Liz Taylor, Lauren Bacall and a few others.

But Faye is towards the top of this list if not at the top, because she has this great ability at putting things exactly as they are with real feeling, but doing it in a great comedic and humorous way as well. Like the line she had in Network when she tells the Max Schumacher character (played by William Holden) that: “You aren’t the worst lay I’ve ever had. God knows I’ve had worst.”

Faye Dunaway is this tall gorgeous, baby-faced adorable actress, with this great dramatic and comedic abilities. Who seems to specialize at playing very cute gorgeous women who are very sharp and have a lot of energy and who are also smart asses.

I swear to God (even though I’m Agnostic) that if Faye were a career soap opera actress she would be the best ever at that. She would have won have multiple awards for that every year and been on the top soap if not top show on TV every year. Best Actress should almost be her title. She’s really the best at whatever she does at least from her era. (Let's call it the Baby Boom) Network is one of my favorite movies and other than maybe Peter Finch she was the best actor/actress in that movie. And Network is the perfect example of what dramatic comedy is: a movie that takes on serious subjects, but does it in a humorous way.

In many ways I see Faye Dunaway as a satirist. Someone who uses both drama and comedy to talk about serious subjects and does it in a very entertaining and sexy way. Chinatown with Jack Nicholson is another example of this where detective movies tend to be funny and Jack Nicholson is pretty funny in really anything he does so putting together with Faye Dunaway is an all-star combination.

Network is Fay’s best and most famous part and where she was really the best on a great all-star cast with a great production team. But she’s had a lot of other great roles that’s shown all of her great abilities. Like Chinatown, The Towering Inferno. She’s a Hall of Fame actress who could’ve gone into the Hall of Fame thirty-years ago and I hope she’s around forever.

Lifetime: Intimate Portrait- Stefanie Powers

Source:Lifetime- Stefanie Powers & The Big Apple.
Source:The Daily Review

"Intimate Portrait Stefanie Powers." From a 2002 documentary about Hollywood Goddess Stefanie Power. From Lifetime. The video has since been deleted or blocked on YouTube.

“The career of Stefanie Powers is one of so many stage, screen, and television credits that her name alone recalls memories as varied as her roles—on screen and off. From movie roles including John Wayne’s daughter in McLintock! and Lana Turner’s rival in Love Has Many Faces, to being terrorized by Tallulah Bankhead in Die, Die My Darling and befriending a Volkswagen in Herbie Rides Again, she stepped onto the television screen as the sexy secret agent April Dancer in The Girl from U.N.C.L.E. and the jet-setting, crime-solving wife of Robert Wagner in Hart to Hart. She is also an award-winning stage actress, fitness advocate, and an internationally recognized animal conservationist…

Source:Barnes & Noble- Stefanie Powers book.

You can read the rest at Barnes & Noble

When I think of Stefanie Powers, I think of her eyes and her little baby nose and big sweet cheeks and sweet voice to match. She is literally one of the sweetest and prettiest things that has ever come out of Hollywood. And then you look at her resume and you're looking at The Girl From Uncle, Love Has Many Faces, where she works with Lana Turner, Ruth Roman, Cliff Robertson, Hugh O'Brien and many others and you know she's good enough to work with the best. Which is sort of the way you judge athletes in pro team sports. Are they good enough to play with and play against the best, or not. Stefanie has always been great enough to do both.

She also did Experiment in Terror, which is one of the best crime dramas/horror movies you'll ever see. From 1962, where she worked with Lee Remick and Glen Ford. She's about 18-19 at that point and playing a high school student and looked even younger than that.  But Hart to Hart, is perhaps not Stefanie's best role that she's ever had. I believe her movies are better and Hart to Hart is somewhat cheesy in comparison, but Jennifer Hart is the role that made Stefanie a huge star. She and Robert Wagner, did a great job with some pretty cheesy writing and a show that isn't very credible. When you're talking about a president of a corporation that essentially acts as a private detective even though his business was not detective work.

Stefanie and RJ, as they are called, made Hart to Hart from how they related with each other on the show with their chemistry and that they share a very similar sense of humor and both have great timing. Stefanie Powers, is an actress who has always had a lot to work with both personally and professionally and who has made the best of those roles from what she's brought to them. From her physical appearance, her great voice and her delivery. And is someone who has combined very good acting ability and wit with an excellent physical appearance that has left many men remembering her and always wanting to see more from her. I'm one of her biggest fans and I hope she works forever just like Raquel Welch.

Oscars: 1977 Oscars- Fay Dunaway: Wins Best Actress For Network

Source:Oscars- Faye Dunaway: winning an Oscar in 1977, for her performance in Network.
Source:The New Democrat

“Faye Dunaway wins the Best Actress Oscar for Network at the 49th Academy Awards. Presented by Louise Fletcher.”

Watch Fay Dunaway’s speech here:Oscars."

Faye Dunaway plays perhaps the best ever corporate tough as nails, well bitch in Network. She’s shooting for the stars and will step on anyone that she has to do get to the top where she believes she deserves to be playing Diana in Network. And even if that means replacing real news with entertainment or at best news satire. Which is what news has become today anyway, at least on cable and has been that way for about ten-years now.

And one of the genius’ of Network is that they saw that coming. That networks and even network news divisions would combine into one entertainment entity on the networks. That instead of news being about what is important and what people actually need to know for their own good, it would become about what is popular and what people want to know in order to feel good about themselves. And Fay Dunaway was great at playing the producer or creator of that new type of entertainment news in Network.

Biography: Barbara Eden

Source:ZHGB-TV-
Source:The New Democrat

There is much more to Barbara Eden than her hot baby-face looks but it is really difficult for me to get past that and her role as Jeanie on the NBC hit 1960s sitcom I Dream of Jeanie. I have, I believe, three seasons of it on DVD, even though it went off the air about 5 years, before I was even born, but when I think of Barbara, or Barbie as I call her, I still remember that baby face she still has today as she now approaches the age of 80 years.

When it comes to sexy women and not just little baby cuties who look like little girls their whole lives, but sexy developed women who still have baby faces, Barbara Eden may be the cutest woman to ever come out of Hollywood.  If you combine that with great, quick comedic wit and timing and the ability to be adorable and funny at the same time while still knowing what the hell she is doing, you are talking about a great entertainer, with fans always coming back for more.

What comes to mind about Barbara Eden as well as her movies like Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter with Tony Randall and Jane Mansfield, Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea with Walter Pidgeon, Five Weeks in a Ballon, and other movies that I believe led to I Dream of Jeanie in the mid-1960s is that people appreciated her looks and her great comedic wit and timing.

Hart To Hart: 1979 TV Movie

Source:Carlos Cejero- from the 1979 ABC Hart To Hart TV movie.

“Hart to Hart 1979 TV Movie”

"Hart to Hart S01E Pilot part 1 - 25 August 1979"
Source:Martin Clark- Robert Wagner as Jonathan Hart in the ABC Hart To Hart TV series.
From Martin Clark

Hart to Hart is a strange show to me, because it is about this very wealthy businessman with his own company, that he doesn’t seem to spend much time running. Sort of how some pro sports franchise owners treat their clubs and have someone else running their club for them.

And his wife who is like a part-time writer, but basically acts as the first lady of her husband’s company. And hosts a lot of parties and charity functions and so-forth. And yet this power couple in Los Angeles is always dealing with crime cases as if they’re the primary detectives on the case. Either as pi’s which they are or police detectives.

And they also don’t make it very clear what type of company Hart Industries, owned by Jonathan Hart played by Robert Wagner, is and what they do.

If Hart Industries was a private eye firm run and owned by this power couple the Hart’s, Jonathan and Jennifer Hart, played by Hollywood goddess Stefanie Powers, who has real Raquel Welch qualities, (that I’ll talk about in a future blog post) then this show would make sense. Except for Hart Industries, they would need to call it Hart Pi’s or something like that.

But this show does have things that make it worth watching. Like Stefanie Powers and Robert Wagner, especially Stefanie and this show has a lot of good humor and it and the plots are good. It’s just not very realistic that the two main investigators on the show aren’t investigators.

They aren’t police detectives or private detectives. But people who work in finance and do other things. And yet they end up doing most of the investigative work on the show and solving the cases themselves.

Rachael Be: Q&A With Robert Wagner and Stefanie Powers

Source:Rachael Be- Stefanie Powers & Robert Wagner.
Source:Real Life Journal

"This interview was in Boston to promote their prduction of the stage play 'Love Letters'

From Rachael Be

This may sound strange, but I was never a fan of Hart to Hart and explain why and I’ve seen a few episodes on demand and on reruns now on cable. But I’m a big fan of Stefanie Powers and Robert Wagner and without them, you would’ve had a bad to mediocre show that probably would’ve been on for maybe three episodes in late 1979 or 1980. Had RJ and Stefanie not of been on that show and you replaced those two with, let's say average actors who are perhaps good character actors, but aren’t ready for lead roles. And perhaps both of them aren’t that well-known yet and have just been discovered.

Robert Wagner and Stefanie Powers are examples of why acting and the ability for actors to improvise are so important. Great actors can make mediocre if not bad shows look watchable, because of their presence and how they present themselves on the show. Especially if they are funny which RJ and Stefanie were and perhaps still are. Hart to Hart wasn’t that believable which is my main problem with it. You got a guy who runs his own corporation, even though they never make it real clear what his company does. And his wife who is essentially the wife of a CEO and perhaps does charitable work or something.

Hart to Hart was essentially a show about a rich man and his gorgeous wife. A very wealthy CEO with his own company, jet and everything else and yet this show is essentially a private eye show. With Jonathan Hart and his wife doing most of the detective work. Even though neither one of them are professional detectives and have never been detectives or even police officers. Similar to McMillan and Wife where you had a big city police commissioner, the Commissioner of Police for San Francisco and his wife doing most of the detective work. But RJ and Stefanie made Hart to Hart watchable, at least some of the time.

Golden Cyber: Wonder Woman Captured by The Skrill

Source:Golden Cyber- The one and only Wonder Woman, played by Hollywood Goddess Lynda Carter.
Source:Real Life Journal

"Wonder Woman Captured by the Skrill. Clips from Mind Stealers from Outer Space."

From Golden Cyber

Wonder Woman being captured by a monster. I guess even super heroes have their weakness’ and can meet their match.

To believe in Wonder Woman, well you have to believe in Wonder Woman. Which is a big enough challenge in itself. And then you have to believe that the U.S. Army, or at least some Army officers are dumb enough to believe that Diana Prince and Wonder Woman are two different women. Why, because even though they have the same body, face and voice, one where’s glasses and an Army uniform and the other doesn’t. So of course they can’t be the same woman. Sort of like cops not thinking that isn't the car they’re looking for, because the license plates are different. Even though the car is the same make, model, year, color, same dent in the front door. And it doesn’t occur to the Detective that the suspect simply changed the license plate of the getaway car.

Well, Wonder Woman wasn’t an entertaining show because of its realism. But because it had a goddess like Lynda Carter and some real good action scenes.

Golden Cyber: 'Wonder Woman Defeated by The Pied Piper'

Source:Golden Cyber- Wonder Woman Lynda Carter.
Source:Real Life Journal

"Another personal favorite episode of mine.  Had a number of missed opportunities typical of the CBS seasons which could have made it much better than it actually was...

From Brdly

It’s kind of hard for me to imagine someone as strong as Wonder Baby, I mean Wonder Woman could be defeated by, well, disco music. You would think someone strong enough to knock down brick walls and jump up on tall buildings and beat up 300 pound men, would be strong enough to take on disco music. Without falling asleep. Wait, I guess disco music was really that bad. And perhaps boring enough to literally knock people out. Even a wonder goddess’ like Wonder Woman.

Perhaps disco was to Wonder Woman what kryptonite was to Superman. Yeah, maybe the Pied Piper was the only one in the history of the Wonder Woman TV series to discover Women Woman’s weakness. Which is really bad music that puts her to sleep. She might be strong enough to tackle bears and stop speeding cars with he bare hands from the outside, but disco music will bring her down to size.

Satan Tights: Allan Arbus- ‘As Bleaker in Wonder Woman- The Girl From Ilandia’

Source:Real Life Journal

“Allan Arbus as the villain, “Bleaker” in the New Adventures of Wonder Woman, “The Girl from Ilandia,” April 7, 1978. Bleaker was one of the few villains to evade Wonder Woman. Unfortunately, he never reappeared to challenge her again.. Allan’s name was sometimes misspelled with only one L, as it appears in this episode. Arbus died April 19, 2013. He was 95.

Tina returns in the six issue crossover event, “Wonder Woman ’77 Meets The Bionic Woman” – written by Andy Mangels and illustrated by Judit Tondora. Trade Paperback available on...

From Satan Tights

Allan Arbus, who of course played Dr. Sidney Friedman on MASH, showing his versatility here. By not just doing comedy, but doing action/comedy. Playing a smartass bad guy. Who kidnaps Wonder Girl, or whoever the girl was. And of course the Wonder Goddess, or Wonder Baby, which is what I call Wonder Woman, because she was so hot, sexy and adorable, comes in and saves the day.

This episode was from 1978. So I’m probably two years old at this point, so no I don’t remember this episode. But I saw the repeat of this show last summer on Me-TV. The writing on this show always seemed twenty-years behind. And it seemed stuck in the, gee that’s swell universe of people who wouldn’t use strong language to save their lives. And the writing looked like it was from a show from the late 1950s instead of the late 1970s. But this scene on this show was pretty good.

Days of Our Lives: Kirsten & Marlena Argue

"Feud Days of our Lives Marlena VS Kristen"

From Blue Pop

This is from a 2007 scene with Dr. Marlena Black (played by Deidre Hall) and Kristen DiMera (played by Eileen Davidson) but the video is long available online right now.
Source:Days of Our Lives- Dr. Marlena Black (played by Hollywood Goddess Deidre Hall) who I believe is the Goddess of Days.

I don't want to make this scene seem less than it is, but I love watching these two gorgeous, sexy, adorable, women interact with each other. Marlena attacking Kristen proves that she is not as adorable, sweet and innocent as she looks, that Big Baby can attack and is more than capable of defending herself and protecting what is hers when she believes she needs to.

Kirsten playing this sexy, gorgeous yes, but a tough bitch, who doesn't have many if any limits on how far she'll go to hurt people she despises like Marlena.

These two characters Kristen DiMera and Marlena Evans (played by Eileen Davidson and Deidre Hall) literally hate each other. And Kristen literally using Marlena's biological son Eric and her stepson Brady to hit Marlena, by having affairs with both. Which is a Hurricane Katrina size disaster waiting for both men to have a women like Kristen who is always looking for her next move and who and where to strike at against. And Marlena knows that, because she knows Kristen and that is what this fight is about. That she is not going to let Kristen use her sons.

“Stefano tells John and Hope that the only way Marlena will be safe is if they agree to his terms. Stefano wants John and Hope to find a missing piece of art he had “the pawn” and Princess Gina steal but they never gave to him. John and Hope have no clue where the piece of art is but Stefano tells them they will have to revert to being the pawn and Princess Gina. Kate tells Will that she has suspected that he is gay for awhile. Nicole begins to develop feelings for Rafe but he goes off to try things with Carrie. Rafe arrives and over hears Austin and Carrie trying to work things out but he leaves before Carrie tells Austin that she can’t just turn off her feelings for Rafe. Agent Spencer tells Billie that she needs to move into the DiMera mansion to dig up more dirt on Stefano.”

"All soaps have their iconic moments. You know, the ones when you know where you were, what you were doing, and the impact they had on you as they played out. One of mine happened when sweet Jenny Gardner (Kim Delaney) was blown to bits on a jet ski on All My Children.

In 2003, Days of Our Lives needed a ratings kick in the ass. The show brought back James E. Reilly, who wrote a story about a person dressed in black and a hockey mask who set out to kill the residents of Salem one by one.

Abe (James Carver) and Jack (Matthew Ashford) were the first two to go. Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) sat and chatted with her killer for nearly an entire episode before she met her demise. Next came Caroline (Peggy McCay) and Cassie (Alexis Thorpe). Who could ever forget someone falling out of a piñata? Never mind divorcing your ex . . . why not kill him on his wedding day? Goodbye Roman (Josh Taylor)!"

“FICTIONAL STORYLINE INCLUDING DEIDRE HALL ‘Marlena” ATTENDING ALICE HORTONS FUNERAL.. THE CLIPS ARE RANDOM CLIPS FROM THE ACTUAL SOAP OPERA “DAYS OF OUR LIVES” BUT WITH THE MAGIC OF WINDOWS MOVIE MAKER MARLENA IS BACK SOONER THAN I THOUGHT!”

As entertaining as this scene was and most of that being Deidre Hall as Dr. Marlena Evans, it’s not believable and I don’t mean that in a bad way.

I mean think about that, Dr. Marlena Evans as a killer, the last thing doctors do is murder people. I mean that would break their hypocritical oath, wouldn’t it (or hippocratic oath, I know it is one or the other) and besides she is a baby-face killer, I mean she’s too sweet to kill anyone. Women that adorable don’t murder anyone, except in Hollywood, wait this is Days of Our Lives, so maybe this isn’t so unbelievable.

But that sort of goes to my point of why this scene is so good. Dr. Marlena Evans (played by Deidre Hall) this gorgeous, adorable woman, who looks 10-15 years younger than she actually is, who is better looking than Sammy who plays one of her daughters on this show, she’s perfect to play a killer, because no one would believe her as a killer. There’s nothing scary about her, which is why she could do it and fool everyone, because no one would expect her as the killer. Because she looks too sweet to hurt an ant.

The Daily Buzz: Deidre Hall and Lynne Bowman

Source: Deidre Hall- Deidre Hall & Lynne Bowman on The Daily Buzz.
"Days of Our Lives star and author Deidre Hall and her friend and coauthor Lynne Bowman discuss their books and their appearance at the Southern Women's Show in Orlando on the Daily Buzz, October 12 2012."

From  The Daily Buzz

Deidre Hall, at least to me is the ultimate American Sweetheart. She’s gorgeous yes, but she is so freakin cute, baby-face adorable really and still is, now in her mid sixties. She doesn’t look much older now more than five years ago when I started watching the reruns of the soap operas as night. Because I had to work during the day.

Everything Deidre does, even the way she sits down and moves around or even talks on the phone and of course the way she speaks, makes me want to go, aw! Because she so sweet and has been one of the top soap actress’s, for what thirty years now. And has been on one of the top three soap operas ever since. Days of Our Lives, to go along with General Hospital, which is the best one of the bunch. And The Young and The Restless as well. And she’s just as sweet and funny in real life apparently, as she is on Days.

Lauren Koslow: Criminal Minds - Suspect Behavior (2011)

Source:CBS- Hollywood Goddess Lauren Koslow, on Criminal Minds: ain't she cute!
"Days of our Lives Lauren Koslow is taking a guest-star turn on tonight’s episode of the CBS police procedural drama, Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior, playing a role very different than the very sneaky Kate Roberts of Salem."

Source:Michael Fairman- Hollywood Goddess Lauren Koslow, from NBC's Days of Our Lives.

From Michael Fairman TV

Lauren Koslow, is known as Kate Roberts of NBC’s Days of Our Lives. She might actually be better known as Kate Roberts, or Cutie Katie as I call her, then Lauren Koslow. Perhaps if she changed her name to Kate Roberts, she would be a more well-known star. Because she is a star and plays the, well let's say, tough babe on Days as well as it can be played. Tough, but straight-talking and straight-forward. She is a schemer on that show, but has no issues in letting people especially her opponents know where she stands on things and how she feels about people.

I didn’t see the full episode of this Criminal Minds show and have never been a regular viewer of the show and have only caught a few reruns of it. But what I saw in this video of Lauren playing a doctor, instead of the businesswoman she plays on Days, doesn’t look that much different from the woman she plays on Days. Cutie Katie, (as I call her) is so freakin adorable, baby-face cute and gorgeous with the voice, hair, personality and sense of humor to match. And has a habit of pissing people off. Because she’s so straight-forward and blunt and simply doesn’t like many people. One, to defend her family and interests. But the other to simply get people she doesn’t like and sees as threats.

The Justine Bateman character on this show, if you’re familiar with Family Ties and Mallory Keaton, you know who Justine Bateman is. And she’s also the sister of comedic actor Jason Bateman. Is obviously not happy with Dr. What’s Her Name (no, I don’t think that’s her real name) played by Lauren Koslow. To the point she’s so angry with The Doctor that she’ll try to shut her up and tape her mouth shut. Well if you’re familiar Kate Roberts, again played by Lauren Koslow on Days, you know that tape and perhaps only knocking her unconscious will shut her up. So this character played by Lauren on Criminal Minds, doesn’t look that different from Kate Roberts from Days. At least to me.
